Department of the Air Force Establishes New Program and Designates Unit

The Department of the Air Force has launched the Nuclear Integrated Precision Resourcing in GPS Technologies (NIPRGPT) program to enhance the operational capabilities of the Global Positioning System (GPS).

10th Field Data Squadron Activated to Support Program

In conjunction with the launch of the NIPRGPT program, the Air Force has activated the 10th Field Data Squadron (10th FDS) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The 10th FDS will be responsible for conducting testing and evaluation of GPS technologies and supporting the development of new capabilities.

Enhanced Delta 10 Mission

The combination of the NIPRGPT program and the activation of the 10th FDS will enable the Air Force to improve the accuracy, resilience, and availability of GPS for military and civil users. These advancements will enhance the Delta 10 mission, which is responsible for conducting space testing and launch activities for the Department of Defense.
